Roll-up walkways

Convenient and practical to install

Walkways which can be rolled up to make it easier to clean the beach and allow machinery through. Made from treated wood. The ideal solution for uneven surfaces, eliminating physical barriers to moving around on the beach. Their size makes them suitable for wheelchair use. Width: 120 cm.

Decking in various sizes and walkways for perfectly level, consistent coverage of the terrain.
Characteristics:
Walkway of 1,200 x 3,000 mm in defect-free brushed Scots pine with sanded edges, autoclave-treated, extremely resistant to the weather, sand, marine environments and ultraviolet light, made from units tied together with rope comprising: 24 STAVES OF 1,200 X 117 X 32 MM, 46 PVC SEPARATING STUDS, 4 STAINLESS STEEL EYE-BOLTS, 2 STAINLESS STEEL SHACKLES.

Once fitted over the sand, the walkway fulfils the minimum requirements for accessibility and the elimination of architectural barriers stipulated by Decree 72/1992 of 5 May.

Materials used:
Decking: strip deck tiles of 73 x 49 mm and staves of 95 x 22 mm in autoclave-treated Scots pine.
Joints: 110 mm stainless steel screws.

Treatment:
WOLMANIT CX-8 marine wood preservative, comprising: Bis-(N-cyclohexyldiazeniumdioxy)- Copper: 2.8 %, copper hydroxycarbonate: 13.04%, Boric acid: 4%, 2-aminoethanol: 30-40% , additives and water c.s.p. 100% for use on vacuum-pressure-vacuum wood impregnated with insecticide, fungicide, termicide and resistant to marine conditions.

This preservative contains no chrome or arsenic and fulfils all the conditions necessary to protect the wood in accordance with Regulation 76/769-EEC which restricts the use of arsenic as from June 2004 and Royal Decree 1406/1989 dated 10 November 2003.
The product not only fulfils regulatory requirements but far exceeds them as there is no chrome in its chemical formula. It is highly effective and complies with Health and Environmental requirements. This protective agent can be used for interiors as well as exteriors and stands up to even the harshest climatic conditions, such as constant contact with the ground and water.
The treated wood is odour-free, clean to the touch and protected from the attack of wood-destroying organisms.
Treatment with hydrosoluble salts complies with the provisions of European regulation UNE-EN 335-1:1993 – DURABILITY OF WOOD AND WOOD-BASED PRODUCTS. DEFINITION OF HAZARD CLASSES OF BIOLOGICAL ATTACK for the protection of wood, fulfilling Hazard No. 4, and therefore complying with the requirements stipulated in the technical specifications.

Maintenance and conservation:
The materials and protective agents used for the walkways mean that no special maintenance is required.
The only care that needs to be taken is to correctly pallet the walkways at the end of the season to prevent the planks from breaking or deforming from being stacked badly.

We also recommend washing the walkways down with fresh water at the end of the season to remove any incrusted salt and sand.

Assembly:
The walkways are supplied wrapped in heavy duty plastic material forming the pallet stack and making it easier to unload and store them at the delivery point.
